There is Time Now

There’s time now

To listen to the birds

To discern their words

As the echoes bounce

Off the walls of my house.

There is

time

now.

There’s time now

to be part

Of this whirlwind

Of a world

As it spins

There is

time

now.

There’s time now

To confess

What’s been in your heart,

What’s been tearing you apart,

For anger to dissolve

For the past to absolve

For,

there is

time

now.

There’s time now

To let go

Of all worry

Or woe

And witness the show

You’re starring in –

Let it begin!

As you begin to glow

You can see,

The way the wind dances

With flowing branches

You can see,

The dew atop petals,

The way the finch mettles,

The squirrel coveting

an acorn in his paws –

His busy heart

Taking pause

As he remembers,

There is

time now.

There’s time now

To forgive

And let live

To hold loved ones close

Before the curtain close

To laugh so hard your cheeks ache

To give it a fucking break

Because for heaven’s sake

There is

time

now.
